Runway: Amiri F/W 20
Following up their vibrant 70’s inspired SS20 Collection, Mike Amiri & Co returned for a Fall/Winter continuation of that same spirit with an expansive array of updated textiles and silhouettes. The show began with a plethora of tailored overcoats & suiting featuring a variety of materials such as wool, leather, and knit jacquard. Similarly to their SS20 collection, flare trousers and boots were featured throughout the runway collection in both the men’s and women’s collections. The styling was one of the strongest features of the collection- pairing tonal colors together with colorblocked layering pieces with pearl necklaces and gold chains. While their SS20 collection was 70’s festival inspired, their Fall/Winter 20 collection takes that same guy on a European tour with carry all bags and sharp tailoring.
Fall/Winter 20 also presented new product categories fro Amiri including fine jewelry some of which were a collaboration with French Jeweler, S.T Dupont. Amiri also continued his recently launched Handbag line which was first presented in Fall/Winter 19. This Season going for a larger carry-all style as well as new assortment of instrument inspired shapes.
Overall, the collection was very impressive and shows Amiri’s dedication of growing into an international luxury brand with a wide ranging audience. The last 3 seasons from Amiri have been building at a pace that is quite extraordinary. Be sure to watch the Amiri Mini Documentary of the Making of Their SS20 Collection Here.
