Runway: Off-White S/S 20

Taking place at Paris's Carreau du Temple Hall, Off-White presented their S/S 20 runway presentation entitled "PLASTIC," which consisted of 47 looks, a Nike Sb, and an artist collaboration with Futura 2000. As per usual, a variety of high profile attendees flooded in to see the latest offering from Virgil Abloh. The show began with the sounds of Michel Gondry's "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" followed with Sheck Wes opening the show wearing a Futura 2000 collaborative graffiti trench coat, trousers, and Nike Sb's. By teaming up with Futura 2000 on the collection pieces as well as the already highly anticipated Nike Sb collab, Virgil Abloh was able to bring a renewed excitement for Off-White. The models made their way down the flower-filled runway in a variety of suiting, technical outerwear, and a variety of knitwear. Some of the standout pieces included the blue suede parka jacket, the multi-color knit robe, and the mint colored suit.

The show's finale consisted of the models trampling through the flowers while The Beatles "Blackbird" played over the aerial speakers. The show was one of the most artful and exciting I have seen from Off-White over the past couple of seasons. With Virgil running the show at Louis Vuitton, it can be easy to look past all the work he has put into Off-White since it began back in 2013. This S/S20 show brought that feeling of excitement back and was a beautiful show from start to finish.
