Off-White teams up with Rimowa

The recently appointed Louis Vuitton menswear creative director, Virgil Abloh has just further rooted himself within the LVMH family by collaborating with their recently acquired lifestyle brand Rimowa. The luxury suitcase brand has been the premier choice of jet-setters for decades because of their sleek construction, lock system, and their signature steel fabrication. The official images of their highly anticipated collaboration with Off-White features a fully translucent shell with Off-White signature hang tags and interior "Labeling".

Initial Thoughts:

In comparison to the Supreme collaboration, Vigil's take is less obnoxious and more tasteful in its designs. However due to the see-through construction, you fuccbois can't get away with not folding your clothes on your next vacation or business trip, so you better start practicing your folding techniques and packing skills. In addition, if you're thinking about packing your bag with all the exclusive jawns and kicks, you might not want this bag because it could become a severe travel liability. But all jokes aside, I think this is a great representation of Vigil's out of the ordinary design motif.

This is the first of many collaborations between Rimowa and Off-White, and this bag, in particular, is set to release June 25th at select Rimowa and Off-White locations. Expect these bags to run you anywhere from $1200-$1500 depending on the size of the bag and the upcharge that collaborations typically bring. What are your thoughts on the upcoming collaboration between Off-White and Rimowa?
