A Closer Look At Dior's S/S 19 Footwear

A few days ago, Kim Jones presented his first ever runway presentation with Dior Homme, which was arguably one of the best men's runway shows of the entire season. While there was a lot to discuss regarding the show, the new footwear options from Dior for S/S 19 really set the bar high causing a lot of hype to spread like wildfire. Most notably had to be the Converse style or Converse collab(?) all over Dior print sneaker. It features a classic Chuck Taylor silhouette with clear overlays on the Dior embossed canvas with the classic Converse sole slapped right in the middle of the outsole. In addition to these, Jones designed a super clean chunky sneaker, which has more a slimming athletic silhouette than other chunky sneakers currently on the market. The new sneaker has been seen in an all white, a beige all-over print, and a white all-over print. Lastly, we saw new color iterations of their chunky B22 sneaker, which was designed by Kris Van Assche before his departure this past Spring. With the official release of any of these sneakers still far out on the calendar, I am sure that the hype will only begin to increase over the course of the next couple of months while your favorite social media stars, rappers, and athletes are flexing their gifted pairs way before the general release date.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming Dior footwear designed by Kim Jones?
