Architecture & Design: Tulum's Casa Malca Hotel

I am sure by now you have heard of Tulum's legendary Casa Malca Hotel, that once used to be home to Columbian drug lord Pablo Escobar. But just in case you haven't, we are here to remind you of the best hotels to stay at when visiting Tulum, Mexico. The Casa Malca hotel was redesigned by New York-based gallerist Lio Malca, who has since furnished the 42-roomed hotel with modern works of art from his private collection, which includes works from the likes of Kaws, Basquiat, and Kieth Haring. In addition to the amazing selection of art, the hotel also features colorful tapestries, exposed wood furnished walls, and even a sofa from the Titanic which hangs above one of the main lobby areas. With the Summer vacation months approaching rapidly, we would highly suggest checking this hotel & Tulum out. At around $400 a night, hotel Casa Malca makes your stay luxurious and an even better photo op. Be sure to take a closer look at the hotel interiors below.
