Rick Owens Shut Down Paris Fashion week with Ostrich capes and more

Rick Owens has been consistent in his use of same venue for the last couple of season, so I was a little disappointed to see the same stage set at the Palais de Toyko in Paris yesterday. However when the crowd finally settled in and the show began, Rick unveiled a new variety of avant-garde womenswear unlike anything I have ever seen. Owens has been playing with tool in his designs for a while, but I think he finally mastered his craft with his latest collection. Owens's last 2 collections have had the idea of human fatality, but it was said in a Vogue article that Owens was backstage speaking of joy and happiness. "What if the whirlpool is just a portal instead of a finality?, Owens said backstage. This quote was very present in the show due to the more lively colors such as yellow, mauve, and a rich plum color. Rick Owens kept it simple with the footwear by adding in a simple boot varying in color and material, which totally didn't take anything away from the elegance of the clothing. As far as the clothing went, there were a couple of looks that blew my fucking mind. We have picked some of our favorite looks from the show below. I am looking forward to see what Rick does with the next mens collection after seeing this show.

Standout Piece: THE absolute standout pieces had to the ostrich capes in angel white, plum, and brown.
