Jakob Hetzer announces permanent collection entitled "STABLE"

After many months of teasing shots from the studio, Hamburg-based designer Jakob Hetzer has finally released previews of his upcoming collection. Titled STABLE (“Not Likely To Change Or Fail”) Hetzer has announced that the line will stand as the permanent collection of his own Jakob Hetzer label, and will be “pushing the envelope in the form of ‘everyday’ clothes and products with better construction and meaningful design.”

Although only a handful of images have been released, Hetzer has promised that he will be adding pieces to the line continuously, which is exciting news for any fans of the Detroit-born Instagram. As for what we have now, the first offerings of STABLE pieces – a sharply cut leather rider, a blood-red mohair cardigan that looks a lot like Elmo, and some denim – offer some insight as to what we might expect from Hetzer and his upcoming collections, while the man himself has stated that the garments will be “hand-crafted with pride in Germany to match the highest quality standards possible using hand picked denim, leathers and much more.”

Despite revealing little of his workings beyond which city he is currently in, I think it safe to say that the announcement and ongoing release of STABLE means we can expect a full collection from Hetzer sometime late this year or early in 2017.
