WTB: Rick Owens Cutout Dunks

This week's Want To Buy features one of the rarest and most unseen Rick Owens shoes on the market. I know what you guys are probably thinking, "why the fuck did someone cut holes in their dunks!?" Well actually they didn't. Rick actually was wild enough to manufacture dunks with cutouts in 2005/2006. "How come I have never seen anyone with them?!" Well Rick only made them for women. I know fam.. it sucks because now I am going to have to cut my toes off to be able to fit these fucking things. Honestly when I saw these listed, I was amazed at the condition these were in, and that someone actually owned a pair. These joints are straight legendary and are super rare. I am not sure why Rick only made these for one season, and why he only made them in women sizes. The world will never know, but I would like to own these just because it would be awesome because you could just post pics of them and make people be like " What the fuck! Why did this dude cut holes in his dunks smh!" Anyways, we hit up the seller (who since took the $4,000 dollar listing down off Grailed) to ask him about his legendary shoes.

"It's just one of those shoes that you've only seen blurry images of. Often spoken about within the Rick community but rarely seen. The men's models during 2005/2006 was just lambskin or pig leather that was either cotton or leather lined. The cut outs were made for women and the approach Rick took really made the shoe look unique in its own way. Only being made for a season was something that we would never know why. If your a true Rick collector you would know that women had the rarest colorways that men couldn't get in the dunks. To find them in almost brand new condition for being almost 12 yrs old makes them even more special. Ink Clothing in China has a white pair on display in that customers can look at but not buy. Thought about selling them for a moment or doing a special trade which might not happen because the seller and I are at a stand still. Maybe I will just keep and know that I have a piece of history amongst other dunks I currently have." - @mrdrakeford
