Yeezy Season 3 Price points will hopefully be better for the consumer

A couple of days ago a video released via TMZ , which showed Kanye West at LAX airport in which a reporter asked him questions about Nike and his clothing lines (Yeezy Season 1 & 2). The reporter asked Kanye to lower the prices so he can afford the clothing. Kanye simply replied that Yeezy Season 3 would be more affordable. Well I won't hold my breathe entirely.

Yeezy Season 1 was much more expensive than I expected, but the partnership with Adidas was Kanye’s answer for such high prices. Yeezy Season 2 was done entirely through Kanye West and the price points have just been released via Hypebeast.

I was a little disappointed with the price points because in countless interviews Kanye discussed how there should never be a 5,000 dollar sweater, but I guess a 2,000 sweater is okay. It seems as he spoke too soon. I will admit though I understand the price points when you think of what goes into production. Kanye wants his clothes to be Ralph level quality and wants nothing but the best which of course will cost more money. You have to pay for the materials, the labor, the design team, Adidas, and Kanye himself. So I totally understand the expense of the first two collections. With NYFW approaching (which means a Yeezy Season 3 presentation), and Kanye’s highly anticipated album “SWISH” set to release on the first day of fashion week. There is a lot to be excited about in the upcoming month. I will be curious to see the price points and designs of Yeezy Season 3. Each presentation has showed an evolution in design and I am hoping that Kanye really takes that step forward with this next collection. I am just glad that will now we will have a new album to accompany his clothing.
