Style Guide for Boots

The (major) key to rocking a pair of boots effectively is the fit of the jeans. It’s extremely important that they aren’t baggy in certain areas and that it has a tapered fit all the way through. Otherwise the look you are going for won't work.

For the top, you can wear basically anything as long as the jeans fit well. I personally like tighter fitting garments, complementing the proportions and giving a sleek look all the way through. But it depends on the look that you're going for and your personal body type. An oversized hoodie, jacket, or overcoat can still be worn with boots and you will kill it every time.

Next time you’re at an event, ditch the church shoes and rock your favorite boots. Depending on the style, it can be worn with a suit. Just like the jeans, the pant has to be tapered all the way through, and has to lay correctly on the boot.  (Of course the suit jacket should be fitted as well) A well-executed example can be seen here with Saint Laurent Hedi 30 Jodhpur boot.
