A Closer Look: Reese Cooper's "The Wilson" Boot

LA-based designer Reese Cooper put everyone on notice with the recent F/W21 collection presentation for his eponymous label. Cooper's genuine appreciation of the great outdoors and unwavering support of wildlife preservation was center stage during the F/W21 presentation. The collection sported many highlights, such as the hand-painted suede bombers and luxe wool coats. Of the myriad pieces to get excited about copping, Cooper's first-ever piece of footwear, the Wilson Boot, stands out from the collection.

The hiking boot is an homage to the name of the F/W21 collection and show - “Pyrophyte” is are types of plants that have a tolerance to fire. The Wilson Boot's slim, sturdy silhouette allows it to weather long, arduous hiking treks as well as navigate the city streets. Cooper worked closely with Italian artisans to handcraft the hiking boot using high-quality Italian suede accompanied by a durable, lightweight Vibram sole and exaggerated hardware. The Wilson Boot comes with three pairs of laces that, combined with the eyelets' placement, offer over 100 ways to customize the look of boots, furthering its already impressive versatility. The long-awaited in-house footwear release was limited to only 100 pairs, which you can pre-order now on the brand's website for a scheduled delivery of late March. If you're interested in picking these up, I would highly recommend jumping on them now before it's too late.
