Midnight Rodeo Releases Hoodies Wrapped in Nostalgia

Midnight Rodeo knows as much. Now available, FashionMovesForward’s in-house label will add two new essentials to its range. Two hoodies, “You’re My Midnight” and “Crash”, each devoted to the iconic imagery of the past.


Inspired by the obscure history and iconic case shape of Cartier’s “Crash” watch, Midnight Rodeo crafted one of their first hoodies with a unique heritage and context in mind. Examining the Crash watch’s inception and revering its importance in the world of Haute horology - The “Crash” hoodie is an ode to design in itself. Directly pulling historical context from an article written for @fashionmovesforward, we conceived a graphic reminiscent of the vintage watch advertisements found in newspapers of a bygone age. The watch’s recent sale at Sotheby’s for a whopping $890,000 underscores the watch’s continued relevance. Featuring a hand-drawn Aston Martin DB5 and the Cartier Crash Watch, the “Crash” hoodie aims to provide timeless essentials, full of meaning and value.

Synonymous with sexy, sleekness, fashion, and a mystical charm, Audrey Hepburn encapsulates the spirit of midnight. Richard Avedon, famed Harper’s Bazaar photographer, appreciated Audrey’s distinct aura and captured a now-classic image of the star. The “You’re My Midnight” hoodie features a unique rendition of Avedon’s image and takes a deep dive into the spirit of midnight.
