The Cartier Tank is one of our favorite watches ever designed due to its timeless allure and understated yet elegant prowess. Originally released in 1919, the Tank has defined the idea of a timeless watch. Under the direction of Louis Cartier, the brand continued to develop variations of the original tank such as the Cintrée, Allongée, Francias, etc. The Cintrée was the first variation to come from the original tank design back in 1921. Translated as “curved”, the Cintrée featured an elongated and distinct curved shape which made the watch slightly larger and more comfortable to wear on the wrist. The 100th year anniversary Cintrée watch is a true testament to Louis Cartier’s design legacy.
