STAATSBALLETT's NYC Showroom Visit

Avery Ginsberg & Kailee Mckenzie's brand STAATSBALLETT is currently hosting a showroom/ pop-up shop in New York Cities Lower East Side this weekend (4/13-4/15). For those who are unfamiliar with the brand, STAATSBALLETT was formed by Avery and Kailee in 2017 and released their first collection in late 2017, which consisted of sweatshirts, flowy but well-tapered trousers, and some suiting options such as an essential white button up and suit jacket. The collection was well received and currently, everything is sold out on their webstore. Mainly due to the excellent price point and uniqueness that STAATSBALLETT has been able to offer, not to mention the social influence of both Avery and Kailee. Upon hearing that STAATSBALLETT would be hosting a showroom I decided to check it out to see the garments in person and find out more about the collection directly from the source. Here are just some of the things I learned and experienced at their NYC Showroom.

The name "STAATSBALLETT" comes from Kailee's experience from actually doing ballet, and also Avery's current education of the German language. Translating to "State Ballet," the name also dives into the idea of state-funded programs and of the thoughts that could be extracted from that. Not to mention that the initial mood boards lined up with the influence and artistry of ballet.

The ring (below) was made from upcycled silver and was inspired by a ring that Avery had found which belonged to one of his family members.

All of the clothing is made here in New York City, which I will add that the quality and price point of each garment has been well thought out and is very fair. My favorite pieces have to be the plaid flared leg trousers and the simply branded black hoodie.

The pop-up is currently going on from now until Sunday (4/15) at 198 Allen St. from 11 AM to 7 PM. If you are in the New York City Area I highly recommend stopping in and checking out some of the pieces and or even pop in to say what's up. Be sure to check out some of the photos from the pop-up below.
