Runway: Alchemist F/W 19

If there is something that you can expect from Roma Cohen’s Alchemist, it is that season after season there will be something completely different than what everyone else is bringing to the table. Last season we saw Alchemist take us through a journey of Marrakesh with their array of patterns, intricate beading, and fur-lined pieces. This season, Alchemist turned their attention to Elvis Presley in a "Graceland" inspired collection. Featuring Americana references such as Route 66, American Flags, and "The King" himself in graphics throughout.

The latest collection offered up a sneak peek at their upcoming collaboration with Guess Jeans, which they pulled retro graphics to reference in their collaborative pieces. In addition to the collab with Guess, Alchemist introduced an array of footwear taking inspiration from western and athletic silhouettes. The sneakers come laced with a Vibram outsole, suede & leather uppers, and a nylon sock liner. While the collection as a whole offers a big variety in terms of references, Alchemist maintained their deep-rooted Floridian vibes in their latest Fall/Winter offering.
