Palm Angel's creative director Francesco Ragazzi recently took to Instagram to show off his first sneaker design that will be expected to drop very soon. The sneaker features two rear pull tabs, velcro straps, and a toe cap protector. The sneaker bears a small resemblance to the popular Prada Cloudbust but has its own identity all the same. The dual pull tabs are something I have never seen on a sneaker, and the toecap overlay has a deep-rooted reference in skateboard culture for its use of protecting the front end of your shoe while you are skating. Between the color choice, subtle branding, and reference points I believe Palm Angels hit it on the nose with its first sneaker and I have no doubt that more colorways will begin to reveal themselves in the following months.
