Product Review: Garret Leight Sunglasses
Welcome to our first Product Review, in this section we will give you first-hand knowledge about items that we have purchased and experienced first hand. With that being said, we are pleased to present you with a pair of Garret Leight sunglasses that we recently picked up from TenOverSix in Dallas.
Garret Leight is the son Larry Leight, who co-founded Oliver Peoples back in 1987. With his father's experience in the sunglasses industry, Garret Leight was launched in Venice, CA in 2010. Soon after the brand's initial launch, demand skyrocketed due to Instagram- celebrity co-signs, and soon there were Garret Leight stores in LA and NYC. By being affiliated with his father's empire, Garrett Leight has built an empire of his own by providing a younger audience unique frames with more of a trendy look.
I have had many sunglasses from the likes of, Mykita, Rayban, Kuboraum, etc... and all have been good for the most part, but once I put on these frames, I knew I had to cop.
The model I purchased is the Wilson Frame in "Moon Rock," the name deriving from the marble detailing on the sides of the glasses. The frames have a nice gradient tint which is nice because they aren't too dark to where you can't see, but still, keeps the sun out of your face, and well they just look fucking sick. The all silver composition with the marble details paired with the silver gradient frames creates a very clean luxe look. They are a classic frame with a rockstar twist that is meant for daily wear, which I have done so since I wore them out of the store. In addition to the nice details of the glasses themselves, the cleaning cloth inside the case replicates the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA, which sticks to the brand's California mantra. as well as identifying itself as a trendier brand that is well aware of its influences. All in all, I highly recommend Garret Leight frames, but remember that the most important part of buying sunglasses is trying them on. Be sure to slide through some of the images detailing the Garret Leight frames I picked up recently, and stay tuned for more product reviews on the best stuff in men's fashion.
