Interior Design: Our 5 Favorite Items from the MOMA Store

We recently began our lifestyle section of the site, and a big part of that was sparked by our growing interest in interior design. There is nothing better than having a nicely curated place that displays your interests outside of clothing, or in some cases using your clothing as your artwork. Shopping for cool interior accessories can be quite the challenge for someone in their 20's, that is unless you shop at the MOMA store of modern design. I stumbled upon their Spring St. location earlier this summer and I haven't looked back. I bought a Kaws figurine, a Warhol skate deck, and even some Jackson Pollack coasters. Every time I go to the store or browse online I can pick out at least a couple things that I want. They have unique items that fit a variety of styles, but mainly keep that modern boutique like atmosphere in your apartment or home. With that being said, we decided to share with you some of our favorite things from the MOMA store right now.

Andy Warhol Skate Decks

Sold as a set of 8, or as individuals, you can't go wrong with the Andy Warhol skate deck. They provide a nice pop of color, while also displaying your love for NYC based artists. They will run you $200 per skate deck, or a whopping $1,500 for the entire set. One of our personal favorites at the Moma currently, but don't sleep they are "limited edition."

Kit Cat Wall Clock

With over 85 years of Kit Cat Clocks in the United States, it still remains a classic. Sure their are a lot of clocks you could go with, maybe the Bape head clock, or just something minimal, but the Kit Cat clock is something that is timeless and offers a bit of nostalgia.

Eames Chair (MOMA Collection)

The original Eames chair designed by Charles Eames is one of our favorites because of its timeless design & simplicity. However, the one that is available for purchase at the MOMA is actually from the Eames collection and is considered more of art than a chair, so that means it's about $600. I know that seems pretty steep for a polyurethane chair. Sometimes it's not about copping from the MOMA store, but more about getting ideas for cheaper alternatives from Amazon. So although this is one of our favorites we would not suggest copping, maybe just checking out some cheaper alternatives.

Jackson Pollack Print

It is no secret that Jackson Pollack is one of our favorite artists, considering we have a framed painting and a fucking Bearbrick to match. Pollack's use of color and texture is unmatched & you can really see the work that went into crafting each painting. The MOMA store has a couple options when it comes to Pollack home furnishings. Coasters, Prints, Scarves, Bags, etc.... However, I think it is best to get a nice sized print before you start going crazy over Pollack paint splatter. This one from the MOMA is a good size and will add nice color to your wall. But just because you copped a Pollack don't think you can just start paint splattering your Margiela Gats yourself.

Translucent Speakers

Whether you are blasting the new Lil Uzi Vert album or you are playing some classy shit for your dinner date the ranslucent speaker is what you should be playing it out of. Let's be real your beats pill looks like a penis and is not cool at all. It is definitely not cooler than floating speakers that you can see all the internal parts of. Good thing for you this is currently on sale at the MOMA store, but don't sleep, after this tarticle everyone will be copping to impress their friends and chicks that are out of their league.
