Alyx’s Matthew Williams Breaks Boundaries with Nike

Alyx’s Matthew Williams Breaks Boundaries with Nike

Nike has been known to reach out to designers such as Virgil Abloh and Jun Takahashi in the past for collaborations like “The Ten” and “Gyakusou” but now they're reaching out to a fresh face. Matthew Williams, known for his utilitarian label Alyx Studios, is now helping Nike move into a more fashion-forward design to help compete with other sportswear giants like Adidas and Puma. The collaboration aims to blur the lines between garments used for performance and those worn in everyday life. The collection will release on July 12th and features 18 different pieces including technical outerwear, leggings, socks, and facemasks among other items. In similar news, more Nike designer collaborations are rumored to follow later this year.
